Like me, you might cook at home a lot but sometimes want fancy food for special days. Big thanks to the boss for the great takeout meal. It tasted good and looked nice. We can party at home whenever we want!
One of the choices for indulging in a lavish meal is CEO 1950 Taipei. I love inviting friends here to savor sumptuous cuisine while enjoying a bottle of fine red wine. And as we dine, we can admire the art collection displayed by the restaurant owner. It’s a delightful experience that combines gastronomy and aesthetics!
The meals here are crafted by Chef Jackie Chang, who previously worked at a Michelin-starred restaurant. He breaks away from traditional French cuisine, infusing it with Taiwanese elements to create modern, artful dishes, it attracts food enthusiasts from far and wide.
During the pandemic, they came up with an idea of offering Michelin-starred meals for takeout. Now we can enjoy those trendy, intricate, and ever-changing contemporary dishes at home with our families. It’s a delightful way to savor gourmet cuisine while staying safe
To ensure fresh ingredients, it’s essential to call ahead or order online via their fan page at CEO 1950 Taipei. When I went to pick up my meal, the staff kindly brought it outside, allowing me to collect my order without even getting out of the car. It’s a convenient and hassle-free experience!
Since late May this year, CEO 1950 Taipei has introduced a series of Michelin-level takeout dishes, which have received rave reviews. Not only have many guests repeatedly ordered and added to their orders, but even the VIP clients have expressed their desire to see some classic dishes make a comeback. As a result, in July, the head chef introduced the following 3 exquisite French main courses, taking classic flavors to the next level!
The sauces they provided are a total of four different sauces, each designed for specific ingredients:
Lemon and mustard seed sauce for French pork chops: This sauce pairs well with French pork chops, combining the flavors of lemon and mustard seeds to enhance the dish.
Sweet and sour sauce for dipping green asparagus: This sauce’s tangy flavor complements green asparagus, making your asparagus even more delicious.
Exclusive sauce for Iberian pork: Specifically crafted for Iberian pork, this sauce enhances the flavor of the meat.
Vegetable sauce for German sausages and fermented cabbage: Ideal for pairing with German sausages and fermented cabbage, this sauce adds variety to your meal. You can also enjoy it alongside stewed dishes.
And even the quality of the takeout box is excellent. It feels like you could take this high-end meal for a camping trip or picnic. The table is filled, and there’s a strong sense of ceremony.
Pâté en croûte, originating from a classic French dish, offers a rich and layered experience. The filling consists of duck breast, chicken, pork, and duck liver, all encased in a delicate puff pastry and slowly baked to perfection.
This dish is perfect as an appetizer or paired with a salad. I recall the last time I had such a delicious French classic meat pie was at a French restaurant in Tokyo.
The dish “Sasso Chicken with Green Asparagus and Spanish Chorizo” features the popular CEO1950 cuisine. It showcases the Sasso chicken, a French breed raised by Taiwan’s fine agriculture and livestock industry. The meat is firm, rich, and incredibly juicy, with flavor permeating from the chicken skin to the tender flesh itself.
The chef meticulously pairs butter-braised green asparagus with Spanish chorizo in this dish. It’s a delightful combination—sweet, flavorful, and suitable for all ages. And let’s not forget the dipping sauce—it’s absolutely divine!
This dish pays homage to the traditional Alsatian cuisine Choucroute. It elevates pork to a level where it carries the aromatic essence of acorns, thanks to the Iberian pig. Alongside this, we have thinly sliced, juicy German sausages infused with juniper berries, and crispy, flavorful potatoes. But the star of the show is undoubtedly the fermented cabbage, which pairs harmoniously with each bite of the highest-grade Iberian pork!
The fermented cabbage is prepared using the natural fermentation process of sauerkraut. It’s a versatile dish that can be enjoyed with various meats.
Dipping it in French mustard sauce enhances the crispiness and flavor of the sausages to the highest level of deliciousness! Being able to enjoy such fantastic cuisine at home is truly blissful!
